  1. This is good to know! I pick up my puppy in 2 days ! So I’m finding your videos super helpful!

edit: puppy passed away at 6months old, got a new one and he’s incredible ♥️🥺

  2. Trevor Smith - Doggie Dojo

Really great point at 3:00 about getting your dog to want to walk with you! Very awesome walking video. Also helps that it has a cute puppy in it as well.

  3. I’ve been using your training technique for my new puppy he’s 5 1/2 months now and he’s probably the most well behaved and mellow puppy I’ve ever had. I’m hoping to be able to get him PAT tested soon so he can be my service dog. Thanks for sharing what you do Zak.

  4. Amazing video! Have been waiting for this one a long time coming!
One question: how do you handle a puppy that swallows everything during it’s first walks?

  5. Hey Zak! Been watching you for a month now for getting ready for my puppy. Read your book a week ago. Can you actually state in your videos how long it took you to teach the new concepts for that video to the dog?? It would be a nice indicator for us to see if we are on the right track.

    1. XXX BRANDED REVIEWS he literally say “its not just about giving your dog a treat every time they do something” but you didn’t get that far.

  6. Zac, I just saw your videos yesterday and absolutely LOVE them. I cannot stop watching them. We have a new Golden Retriever puppy and I am so excited to start off the right way on how to train her. Thank you for providing such great training videos!

  7. Love this video! Ive had my 4mnth old puppy for a few days now, and I really need to practice her leash training 😀

  8. Every video shows everything working perfectly. Show us a video when it doesn’t work like it’s supposed to and how you handle that.

    1. @Viktor Halaj when my dog lays on the floor and he doesn’t walk so I tug hard and if he doesn’t walk still then I go by him and I pull up on the leash until his feet is in the floor and then I move forward and then he starts waking

    2. @Snag Da Plug I keep my pup on a leash on potty breaks because we don’t have a fenced-in back yard. My older dogs are very reliable off-leash so I have to let them out separately or the pup goes nuts and wants to pull forwards them. However, when he’s outside by himself and gets distracted by ground scents (in my own yard) or sees a leaf, I can call him off the ground scents without physical means/pulling on his leash. As we walk around the yard and he pulls towards something, I stop moving until he stops pulling and jumping. When he eventually stops and looks at me, I call him back to me, attempt to get a sit, then say “good man! that’s better. Let’s go!” And it’s been working pretty well. Next step is to teach him a disciplined heel to stay by my side…which is definitely easier said than done with a 3 month old husky pup. I can’t wait to start training him in public with new distractions.

    3. They did show time where the puppy was misbehaving thought. They showed you what to do when they bite the leash, don’t pay attention, get distracted, and freeze up, all in this video

    4. @Viktor Halaj Try a real trainer that isnt just trying to sell treats. “I just taught him to….” what? eat a treat?. The only thing this guy has ever taught a dog. Lure lure lure. He may as well package himself in a box of treats and make holes for his legs. Buy buy buy, buy my treats, stick treats in face of dog, buy buy buy more treats.

  9. I’m training my puppy to walk on a leash and this video was so helpful he was really listening to me and walking with me! And this was his first time!!😃 thank you so much!

  10. Love your videos and training philosophy. I think you do a great job of mixing in your sponsor plugs, too! Thank you for the education. We have a 12-week lab and it’s been quite the journey! Thanks for the help!

  11. When I try to walk my puppy he just sits there and tries to eat his leash. He’s 5 months. He’s getting used to the harness we have tho he’s completely fine in it. Love your vids.. they’re so helpful..! x

  12. I became a first time puppy owner yesterday, and I appreciate your videos. I have been working on sit with treats, but now he has caught on and just always sits and waits for treats. I tried taking him for a walk but we get outside and he just sits and stares at me, I offer treats to try and motivate him and he just stares at me lol. 11 week old standard poodle.

  13. I’ve been eating up your videos!! Going to be bringing home a beautiful baby golden soon! Thanks for all the pointers and for teaching a positive way alternative to shock collars tugging and yelling!
